Veneers BACK TO ALL SERVICES Veneers are very thin shells made from porcelain or composite resins which are bonded to the front surface of the teeth which are visible during a smile. Veneers are an excellent option for restoring cosmetic and structural defects in the teeth. For the preparation of veneers, we will remove a thin layer of the outer tooth enamel, followed by making impressions of the prepared teeth and then sending these impressions to an authorized dental laboratory. During the next appointment, we will attach the prepared veneers to your teeth by using adhesive cement.

You are a suitable candidate for getting veneers if you need to get rid of permanent teeth stains, or you seek cosmetic restoration of crooked or chipped teeth. Veneers are also an excellent option for cosmetic restoration of excessive teeth gaps when orthodontic treatment with braces or Invisalign cannot be afforded.

Lumineers are an excellent for the cosmetic restoration of teeth defects like crooked or chipped teeth, teeth gaps or permanent teeth stains. During the first visit, we will make impressions of your teeth and perform any minimal tooth preparation, if required. We will then send these impressions to a dental laboratory. Dental Fillings BACK TO ALL SERVICES Dental fillings are used for restoring the aesthetics, structure, and function of teeth which have been damaged with cavities. Currently, resin-based composite filling materials are most popularly being used for tooth restoration owing to their ability to match the shade and color of the natural teeth, enough durability, and ease of placement.

Composite fillings are used for removing teeth cavities and restoring the shape of grossly damaged or chipped teeth. During their placement, we will first remove the damaged tooth structure. Next, a mild acid etchant will be applied on the tooth surface which will be washed away after 30 seconds. This etchant will create small pores in the tooth surface which facilitates the bonding of the composite fillings. Finally, the composite resin is applied to the tooth. After shaping, the composite filling will be hardened by using an LED light source.

If you are conscious of your facial esthetics and appearance, then composite fillings should be your first choice. Dentist open on a Saturday – URBN Dental fillings not only give you a beautiful smile but also restore your ability to eat and speak without any difficulty.
Dental Teeth Cleaning BACK TO ALL SERVICES Although regular brushing and flossing are essential for maintaining good oral hygiene, they are not enough for prevention of gum and periodontal problems. This is because food impaction can sometimes occur in regions where a toothbrush is not able to clean properly. Therefore, professional teeth cleanings are recommended for removing plaque and tartar deposits from your teeth.

You need professional teeth cleaning if you have red, swollen, bleeding and painful gums. During professional cleaning, we will use special scaler tips which vibrate at an ultrasonic frequency to remove the plaque and tartar deposits which promote proliferation of gum and periodontal disease-causing bacteria. Dental cleaning is especially more important for those individuals who have medical problems like diabetes, those who are smokers or those who have a higher genetic tendency for suffering from periodontal problems.

Dentist open on a Saturday – URBN Dental cleaning not only allows you to maintain your beautiful smile but it also prevents you from gum and periodontal problems which can seriously affect your dental and overall health.

Deep Cleaning BACK TO ALL SERVICES Deep cleaning, also known as scaling and root planning is a procedure which is carried to treat severe gum and periodontal problems. Unlike professional cleaning, we will thoroughly remove plaque and tartar deposits from your and teeth and exposed root surfaces, followed by polishing the exposed surfaces to prevent chances of re-infection.

A deep cleaning procedure is required when the toxins released from the bacteria inside the plaque and tartar deposits cause severe gum recession and loss of bone surrounding the teeth. As a result, teeth become mobile, and may even be lost if the problem is not corrected timely. After deep cleaning, we may also advise anti-biotics to reduce the infection. You may also fell slight tooth sensitivity after the procedure. However, it will go away in 2-3 days.

Dentist open on a Saturday – URBN Dental Deep cleaning is an attempt at saving your teeth from extraction, which have become mobile because of underlying periodontal disease. If you’re having similar problems, then you should not waste time and visit us immediately.
Root Canal Treatment BACK TO ALL SERVICES A root canal treatment procedure is performed when the underlying nervous soft tissue of the tooth, the dental pulp becomes irreversibly inflamed. Because of the inflammation, pressure builds up inside the tooth which causes continuous, severe pain.

A root canal procedure becomes necessary when pulp gets inflamed either due to exposure as a result of teeth cavities or due to direct exposure following a direct injury or trauma. During the procedure, we will administer local anesthesia followed by drilling a small hole in the tooth to gain access into the underlying pulp. The inflamed pulp tissue is removed with special instruments, followed by washing, cleaning, and shaping of the tooth’s interior, or the root canal. Finally, the root canal is dried and filled with an inert material to prevent re-infection.

A root canal procedure can be easily avoided. You can simply prevent this situation by taking good care of your oral hygiene and through regular dental checkups. Dentist open on a Saturday – URBN Dental root canal procedure is, in fact, the last resort at saving a tooth from extraction.

Dental Crowns BACK TO ALL SERVICES A dental crown is a cap-shaped structure made of which is attached to the visible surface of the teeth for aesthetic and restorative purposes. For placing crowns, we will first remove a thin layer of the tooth enamel to create room for bonding the crown with the tooth. Next, we will send impressions of your teeth to the dental laboratory, along with information regarding the desired color and shade of crown. During the next appointment, the crown will be tried for fit and esthetics. If everything goes well, we will attach the crown permanently with your teeth by using adhesive cement.

Dental crowns are ideal for masking permanent teeth stains, and for the cosmetic restoration of chipped, crooked or misaligned teeth. Dental crowns are also indicated for strengthening a tooth following root canal treatment. Depending on your specific dental and aesthetic needs, we may give you a metallic, porcelain or metal-porcelain based dental crown. Dental crowns possess excellent strength and enough durability. Dentist open on a Saturday – URBN Dental crowns are an excellent choice if you want to get rid of your stained, crooked or fractured teeth.
Dental Bridge BACK TO ALL SERVICES A dental bridge is quite like an architectural bridge – it is used for bridging the gap created by a missing tooth. The false tooth which restores this gap, known as the pontic, is attached to two crowns, which gain their support from the neighboring natural or implant supported teeth.

A dental bridge is an aesthetically and functionally superior tooth replacement to the conventional dentures. Dental bridges can be used for replacing up to 3 or 4 missing natural teeth. Unlike the removable dentures, fixed bridges provide improved chewing and speech efficiency. Dental bridges are prepared by preparing the abutment teeth for the attachment of crowns on both sides. Afterward, an impression of the prepared teeth is made and sent to the laboratory for fabrication. During your next appointment, we will attach the bridge to the abutment teeth after making sure they fit you properly during a trial in.

Dental bridges are stronger and longer lasting than the conventional removable dentures. So, if you’re looking for a reliable tooth replacement option, then Dentist open on a Saturday – URBN Dental bridges should be your first choice.

Cosmetic Bonding

Cosmetic bonding is a procedure in which grossly damaged, or teeth with extensive cavities are restored with a tooth-colored filling material. In bonding, we use composite resins which not only possess the capability to match the color of your own teeth but are also sufficiently durable to last for many years.

During bonding, we will remove the clean the tooth and remove the cavities. Afterward, a mild acid is applied to create pores on the surface of the tooth. This acid is washed away after 30 seconds. Next, the composite bonding is applied to the tooth surface in small increments. Each increment is then hardened by using an LED light. During the final steps, the filling is shaped according and polymerized. To provide maximum esthetics, and to reduce the chances of secondary cavities, we will polish the tooth surface. Once we are done, restoration will blend-in completely with your natural tooth structure.

Cosmetic bonding is a simple procedure which is completed under 30 minutes in a single sitting. Dentist open on a Saturday – URBN Dental cosmetic bonding is an ideal option for you if you want to have a set of teeth and a charming smile.

Laser Dentistry

Nowadays, dentists are relying heavily on lasers to perform various dental restorative, surgical and cosmetic procedures. Dental lasers are basically beams containing high energy photons. Different types of lasers used in dentistry have the capability to elicit a unique and favorable response inside the oral cavity.

From gum tooth preparation to gum reshaping, and from maxillofacial surgery to accelerating healing of wounds, dental lasers have virtually unlimited uses in dentistry. One of their primary advantages is that dental procedures carried out with lasers tend to have fewer complications, in addition to reduced inflammation and post-operative discomfort.

Dental lasers are the future or dentistry. Dentist open on a Saturday – URBN Dental lasers provide a more convenient and safer alternative for performing dental surgical and restorative procedures with a high level of precision and accuracy.

When you visit the dentist, he or she may suggest that you undergo deep scaling and root planing. This will be carried out in order to clean the teeth of plaque or bacteria that may be building up there. The normal examination will take place and then the dentist will start with the scaling. Although it will mean that you have let plaque built up, it does not mean that you are not cleaning your teeth, just that there are bits of food and bacteria being missed. For this they will need an ultrasonic device that will carry out the scaling.

Sonic vibrations will be used to remove plaque and bacteria and then goes on to take away calculus – this is what is known to most people as tartar. It will be taken away from both the teeth and below gums level. If there is anything left, they will use a manual instrument to eliminate the remainder. Root planing deals more with protecting the integrity of the gums. The surface of the roots is scaled, and plaque is removed from there as well. If this is done correctly, it will prevent the gums from becoming inflamed as if they do. It will be a sign that they are becoming infected.

The main reason is to allow you to have clean and healthy teeth and gums. A lot of people will think that if they clean their teeth twice a day, they are going to prevent themselves from needing either treatment. The reality is that there can be bits of food missed, and before long bacteria will eat away at the gums and they will start to move away from the teeth. The gaps that appear around the tooth will be a magnet for food and normal cleaning will not be able to remove this. Without specialist treatment and cleaning, the problem will just get worse and eventually the tooth will have to be taken out. In worse cases, the jawbone can become infected as well.

The good news is that if you are on top of things and catch the problem early, the dentist should be able to clear up any infection and save the tooth without needing more dental services than required. The concern will be if there is damage formed below the gum line. When this happens and the pocket has become too deep to clean out normally, scaling and root planning is going to be the only way to save the teeth. Your emergency dentist should explain exactly what they are going to do before any of the treatment starts.

It is hard to determine who is most likely to need scaling and root planing treatment. It is almost impossible not to have a small amount of plaque on the teeth even though there are ways to combat it. Even if you clean your teeth well in the morning and before going to bed, there will still be something working against you. Proteins, saliva and bacteria will remain in your mouth and this cannot be stopped. A film will settle across the teeth and will attract sugar and acid that are in the food you eat. As the plaque increases, the teeth can start to decay and even with your efforts, it may not be possible to get rid of it all.

It is at this stage that the pockets can appear around the tooth. A gap of up to 3mm in fine, but by the time it measures 4mm or more, you are going to need professional help. Even if you are not aware of the seriousness right away, you soon will be as bad breath is one of the side effects. Scaling should be enough to solve the problem, but if it has happened once, you need to be aware that it can happen again and there may have to be a regular session dedicated to getting the teeth back to the condition they should be in. If your dentist tells you that the pockets are now at 4mm or more, then you can be sure that the next thing they tell you is that you need dental scaling.

Deep cleaning related dental services will take place in two sections. The scaling requires the dentist to take away all of the plaque – and it is vital that all of it is removed. The tartar – which is plaque that has gone hard – can be above or below the gum line, so the dentist has to check both areas and ensure that they have got the bits that are at the bottom of the pocket.

Next will be the root planing. This is where the tooth root will be smoothed out and it is as a result of this that the gums will lose the pocket that had been created and begin to adhere to the teeth again. Unfortunately, you may have to have a number of visits as it can be uncomfortable to have it all in one session and the dentist does not want you to be distressed or to have to rush the job. To try and make it as easy as possible, they may give you an anesthetic.

Your dentist will not carry this out if it is not absolutely necessary. It will be if you are at risk of gum disease or losing any of your teeth. In fact, it tends to be when gum disease has already begun to show signs of taking over your mouth. To test if dental services are needed, a few tests will take place. A periodontal probe will be used to check how deep the pockets are. If your periodontal pockets are over the acceptable 3mm, then you will be a candidate for the procedure. There will not be any pain felt while this examination is being carried out and it is a test that most patients should undergo. The probe is not going to hurt, but it will let the dentist see everything they need to see and therefore recommend which of the dental services you may require.
